Tai Chi Chaun Step by Step

  1. PREPARATION STAND
    Stand in a relax position, feet seperate at shoulder width.

  2. Raise arms to shoulder leverl

  3. Lower elbow and bring both hands toward your shoulder.

  4. Push your palm downard and bend both knees lightly

  5. HOLD THE TAI-CHI
    Bring both hands together as holding a Tai-Chi Ball.

  6. PART THE WILD HORSE MANE - left side.
    Step up and open your left hand in an upward and forward motion. Lower your right hand and brush it to your side.

  7. Put the weight on the back leg and bring the hands together as holding a Tai-Chi ball.

  8. PART THE WILD HORSE MANE - right side.

  9. Put the weight on the back leg and bring the hands together as holding a Tai-Chi ball.

  10. PART THE WILD HORSE MANE - left side.

  11. Put the weight on the back leg and bring the hands together as holding a Tai-Chi ball.

  12. WHITE CRANE SPEADS WINGS
    Bring right palm up facing outward while left palm facing downard.

  13. BRUSH KNEE AND TWIST STEP - left side
    Turn your body to the left and then to the right again. Move your left hand in a circular motion form top to bottom. Move your right hand with your body and finally extend it in front of you.

  14. Strike out at chest level with your right arm while brush your front knee with left palm.

  15. BRUSH KNEE AND TWIST STEP - right side.
    Step up and repeat the previous motion on the other side.

  16. BRUSH KNEE AND TWIST STEP - left side.
    Step up and repeat the previous motion on the other side.

  17. SEVEN STAR STANCE
    Shift your weight to the back leg and keep both hands in front of your as shown in the picture.

  18. STEP BACK AND REPULSE MONKEY
    Raise the front leg and bring back your right hand to neck height, getting ready to strike.

  19. Step back with the left leg and reise the right leg. At the same time strike with your right palm and bring back your left hand.

  20. STEP BACK AND REPULSE MONKEY -right side.

  21. STEP BACK AND REPULSE MONKEY - left side.

  22. HOLD THE TAI-CHI

  23. GRASP THE BIRD'S TAIL - left side.
    Step to your left side and raise your right palm while push down your right hand.

  24. Raise your right hand and slide both bands back while shifting your weight to the back leg.

  25. Cross your hands together and strike out while stepping out.
